K B Babu, CEO of GTN Engineering is a science graduate from the reputed Loyala College, Chennai. With 35 years of experience in various business management he seeded GTN Engineering (India) Limited in 1990, and grew it into a respectable enterprise with $50 million in revenues.
Prior to GTN, he was employed with a Japanese company for 2 years in its marketing function. He started his career as a young entrepreneur, running a Steel Casting Foundry and mastered all the aspects of running the Public Limited Company.
K Vijaya Baskar – Chief Operating Officer
K Vijaya Baskar has over 30 years of experience in the field of engineering, manufacturing and project management in various fields, including ship building & steel foundries.
He has been working with GTN since 1999 in various positions, as General Manager, Vice President, and now Chief Operating Officer – responsible for the implementation of strategic growth plans, monitoring the operations of Oil & Gas, and Defence & Aerospace Division.
Prior to joining the GTN in Oct 1999, he served for more than 12 years as Project Manager in Keppel Ship building, Singapore – responsible for ship building and FPSO conversion. He carries rich experience in project management and execution capability with large companies like AP Moeller. He has also worked for various steel foundries as Technical Manager with strong knowledge of metal forming.
K Vijaya Baskar has a Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Government College of Technology, Coimbatore and Masters Degree in Material Science and Engineering from National University of Singapore. He also has Masters Degree in Business Administration specialized in Finance from University of Leicester.
